// bendera negaraThe goal(s) of this study case is to improve the user experience when using the WhatsApp application.
The impact that I am trying to give from this case study is that can improve the application when it has been implemented.
The idea of this case I got when I use WhatsApp and other social media applications.
In my opinion, some things that make me unfriendly when using WhatsApp are :
After describing the problems, it is better to research to see if anyone has had a similar experience like me.
“How often using WhatsApp?”
“How often open “status” tab on WhatsApp?”
“How often using “Whatsapp Call” on WhatsApp?”
“How often view “Calls Logs” on WhatsApp?
“Is the difficulty distinguishing “Group” and “Personal Chat”?”
Analysis From The Questionnaire, are:
The solution that I offer to the previous problem is :
What I do are:
1.Move the statue to the top of the main page
Based on the research results, most of them don’t often see or use the “Status” feature. Therefore, I moved the feature to the homepage to make it more visible and more noticed.
I added the “Group” icon so that there is a clear distinction between “Personal Chat” and “Group Chat”.
Change the “Messages” icon to be a call icon. Users can start a new chat by using the search feature.
Changing the “Messages” button with the “Phone Call” button because based on research many of them often use “Whatsapp Call” so it can be easier to access. The functions of the “Messages” button can be combined in the “Search” feature.
After defining a solution I do prototyping to make the result of the research more realistic and easy to understand.
Whatsapp Redesign Prototype
This design is based on a questionnaire with limited respondents and less diverse demographics. However, I hope that some of these respondents can represent the opinions of a student’s demographics.
This case study will be suitable if Whatsapp focuses on young people as its market.
